Our Duty to Correct Errors Openly
Credibility requires humility and speed when mistakes happen. When India Daily Rise identifies a factual error in a published article—whether through internal review or reader feedback—we correct the text promptly and append a permanent, timestamped Correction Notice at the bottom of the article.
How We Handle Updates vs. Corrections
- Developing Updates: When a story evolves with new facts, we update the article and display the exact
Updated: [Date & Time IST]timestamp in the provenance bar. - Factual Corrections: If an error of fact (names, numbers, dates, or misstated context) occurred in the original version, we never silently overwrite history; we explain what was changed and when in the article’s Provenance Ledger.
How to Report an Error
Readers, researchers, and public officials can submit correction requests with supporting documentation through our Newsroom Contact Desk. Every submission is reviewed by a senior editor within 24 hours.
